Valve core removal without tool
Trying to repair a small leak in my inner tube with Slime tire sealant. Got my buddy to pick up a bottle at the local Canadian Tire, but unfortunately he got a bottle that was missing the valve core removal tool. Here I am now stuck with a bottle of Slime and a flat tire with no way to unscrew the valve. Are there any tools i can use to remove this that may be lying around the house? I will return the bottle to Canadian Tire when stores are open tomorrow, but would rather get it fixed today if possible.
edit: It appears to be a Schrader valve

A small vise-grip will work fine.

Presta or Schrader? If it's a removable core presta, a pair of needle-nose or other small pliers. I also have a spoke wrench that works. For Schrader, there are valve caps that have the tool built into the end. Or you can try to jury rig something...cut a slot in a small diameter rod, etc..Any automotive place that does tires will have a schrader core removal tool too.

In your other thread:

You mention that you have some broken spokes. Since your tire will have to be removed in order to replace the spokes, don't waste your time with sealant. Replace the inner tube and do a proper repair

IMHO, avoid SLIME at all costs. Some will disagree with me but I won't even let that crap in my shop.
